Haitham Qader, MD
Dr. Qader earned his MD from the Ross University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Youngstown, Ohio. While there, he served as chief resident and was awarded several research awards and the senior resident teaching award. Dr. Qader also completed a fellowship in clinical, transplant and interventional nephrology at the Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
Dr. Qader is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is the medical director of the Renalus Center in Pensacola, Florida.
Edward L. Friedland, MD
Internist and Nephrologist
Dr. Edward L. Friedland earned his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then completed an internal medicine residency and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, nephrology and critical care medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology and the Escambia County Medical Society.
Dr. Friedland participates in the education of the future doctors in the region, serving as a clinical assistant professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, and working with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine to train resident physicians in the Sacred Heart Health System. Dr. Friedland co-founded Pensacola Nephrology, PA, predecessor of the Renalus Center for Kidney Care in Pensacola, Florida.
Humam Humeda, MD
Internist and Nephrologist
Dr. Humeda completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and a residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, New York. In addition to his educational training, Dr. Humeda served as an emergency medicine physician at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Alabama and is a co-founder of the Renalus Center for Kidney Care. He currently serves on the advisory board of Sacred Heart Hospital and president for chief of staff. He also serves as clinic assistant professor, Department of Clinical Sciences, Florida State University and as an instructor, Internal Medicine Board Review. An active member of the Syrian Medical Association and the Escambia County Medical Society, Dr. Humeda is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine.
