Gastone Crea, MD
Dr. Gastone Crea is the Medical Director of American Access Care in the Bronx. After completing both medical school and a radiology residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical School, Dr. Crea went onto Albany Medical Center for a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Crea is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is licensed in the States of Florida, New York and Connecticut. He is a member in good standing of the Society of Interventional Radiology and holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at the New York Medical College. For ten years prior to joining American Access Care, Dr. Crea was employed at a large tertiary care medical center performing a variety of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.
Yvonne Dang, MD
Board Certified Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Dang completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Dang served on the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City from 2004 to 2010 prior to joining American Access Care of Bronx.
During her academic tenure at NYP-Cornell, Dr. Dang developed an interest in treating women suffering from the often-debilitating symptoms of uterine fibroids with Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). Dr. Dang subsequently took over the uterine fibroid practice at Cornell Vascular, a prominent private faculty practice specializing in varicose veins and UFE.
Dr. Dang served as the Fellowship Program Director at Weill Cornell Medical Center, the largest Interventional Radiology training program in New York City. She was responsible for teaching many residents and fellows. She has participated in a number of fibroid research projects and has conducted many lectures and Grand Round on the subject.
While Dr. Dang has many interests, the majority of her free time is now spent chasing after her 5-year-old son and her 4-year-old daughter.
Amit Shah, MD
Dr. Amit Shah earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Brooklyn College and his MD from the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He completed his general surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he remained for his fellowship in vascular surgery. Dr. Shah is board certified in both general and vascular surgery as well as ARDMS certified in interpreting vascular sonography. He has authored numerous original publications and chapters, and has presented on carotid, peripheral arterial and aortic disease at multiple national meetings. His interest in endovascular peripheral interventions has made him an expert in limb salvage. Dr. Shah is currently the Chief of Vascular Surgery for the North Bronx Health Network. He also serves as the Medical Director for the Vascular Laboratory at the Jacobi Medical Center. He is a member of the Eastern Vascular Society, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.
