2016 National Kidney Foundation Walks
Fresenius Vascular Care, the first national sponsor of the National Kidney Foundation walks since 2000, proudly continues the tradition as a national team sponsor of the 2016 Kidney Walk Season. Germany's Fresenius Medical Care has acquired the US-based company American Access Care Holdings (AAC) for $385 million. AAC operates 28 freestanding outpatients center that serve the vascular access needs of dialysis patients. The transaction is expected to add approximately $175 million to Fresenius's annual revenue. Fresenius said that acquiring AAC will enable it to achieve critical mass in its vascular access business, and that the deal has strategic importance because of the scale, resources and operational efficiency it brings to its vascular access operations. … read more

National Vascular Care will continue to expand its focused outpatient vascular business through the development of peripheral vascular centers and facilities that combine both dialysis access care and arterial procedures. Effective January 1, 2008, CMS approved the reimbursement of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and stent placement in office based vascular centers.
