Dr. Albovias is the medical director of Northwest Vascular Care in Florissant, Missouri. After earning BS (biology) and master of clinical gerontology degrees from Baylor University in Texas, he received a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a surgery internship and radiology residency at St. Louis University Hospital and a fellowship in interventional radiology at the North Carolina Hospital Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University. Dr. Albovias is board certified in radiology.

Dr. Douglas Bunting, Jr. earned his MD from the East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. After completing his medical training, Dr. Bunting served as an officer in the US Navy for almost 10 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander as both a flight surgeon and internist. Dr. Calero graduated from Columbia University with a BS in biomedical engineering. She earned her MD at the University of Miami where she developed an interest in dialysis access, participating in clinical research through the Division of Vascular Access. She went on to complete her residency in vascular surgery at the University of South Florida. During her residency, she was involved in clinical research as well as creating a resident handbook and effective clinical pathways for the vascular service.

Dr. Calero has successfully completed her registered physician's vascular interpretation certification (RPVI) for the interpretation of vascular ultrasound, and is also board certified in vascular surgery. Her clinical and research interests include dialysis access and venous disease and she is the author and co-author of several peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters in her field. She is fluent in French and also speaks medical Spanish.

Dr. Dang completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Dang served on the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City from 2004 to 2010 prior to joining American Access Care of Bronx.

During her academic tenure at NYP-Cornell, Dr. Dang developed an interest in treating women suffering from the often-debilitating symptoms of uterine fibroids with Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). Dr. Dang subsequently took over the uterine fibroid practice at Cornell Vascular, a prominent private faculty practice specializing in varicose veins and UFE.

Dr. Dang served as the Fellowship Program Director at Weill Cornell Medical Center, the largest Interventional Radiology training program in New York City. She was responsible for teaching many residents and fellows. She has participated in a number of fibroid research projects and has conducted many lectures and Grand Round on the subject.

While Dr. Dang has many interests, the majority of her free time is now spent chasing after her 5-year-old son and her 4-year-old daughter.

Dr. Essandoh completed medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson Medical University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he remained as an associate faculty member of the Hospitalist/Internal Medicine Department.

He also completed subspecialty training in clinical nephrology at Columbia University Medical College in New York. Due to a significant interest and commitment to improving vascular access care in dialysis patients, he joined American Access in Brooklyn for training in interventional nephrology with world renowned experts in the field such as Dr. Dean Preddie and Dr. Gregg Miller.

Dr. Essandoh is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He specializes in interventional procedures, glomerular diseases, hypertension, critical care, as well as acute and chronic dialysis management. He maintains clinical responsibilities at the Jackson Hospital and the Baptist Health System in Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. Shah graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan and earned his MD from the University of Toledo College of Medicine.�He then completed his internship at MacNeal Hospital and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology (VIR) at Beaumont Health Systems in Royal Oak, MI.� Dr. Shah is board certified in diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology,�and is an active member in the Society for Interventional Radiology (SIR).

Dr. Shah is on staff at Rush Oak Park Hospital and West Suburban Hospital.� He served Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Advocate Trinity before joining Chicago Vascular Center.� Dr. Shah has presented research in multiple areas of interventional radiology including minimally invasive techniques.� His expertise includes amputation prevention and limb salvage procedures for peripheral arterial disease (PAD), varicose vein management and treatment, hemodialysis interventions, UFE, liver tumor/metastasis therapies, and pain management with a focus on providing compassionate, meticulous, and advanced care for patients.
